It's run by evil people.

Yesterday I listened to an Insurance "Spokesperson" on NPR, talking about health care reform.  They want mandates:  for the government to pass a law to force people to buy their product.  Like mandatory auto insurance in many/most states.  People who can't afford it (like those 40-50 million currently uninsured Americans)?  No problem:  the government supplements or pays their premiums.  Oh, and no Public Option.

Yep -- tax dollars would not be go directly to doctors or other health care providers to actually provide health care, but through individuals' hands (who'd actually see the money for about .0001 seconds) to the coffers of the Health Insurance Industry.  Ah!  The Massachusetts Plan!

I'm beginning to think that, indeed, they are evil.  My head rejects such an emotional notion, but my heart, my instincts tell me, "Yes, the Health Insurance Industry is run by evil people."

To sum it up:  the Health Insurance Industry wants to Reform the broken system by having the Federal Government pay it billions of dollars.  People will be fined or otherwise penalized if they don't buy the industry's product.

Discuss.
